Splendid

Hello everyone! It’s been quite a hectic few weeks in camp Belly gearing up for the release of our debut album By Limbo Lake.

Check out part 3 of our video diary to get some glimpses into the recording of the album. Stay tuned for more of these, we love making them and hope you enjoy watching!

Trans Ending will be available on iTunes on the 6th of August - check out the stills below from the film clip which was shot last week. (Caravans, rain…sounds like splendour!)

By Limbo Lake Tour

That’s right, it’s time to head back out on the road with our soon to be released album. We love touring, it’s the best part of the whole puzzle, and we can’t wait to get back on (or in) the wagon!! (quite literally too, we have a band wagon…)

Tour dates SOON!

Splendour

As mentioned, Steph, Eddie and myself (Sean) were lucky enough to head up to Splendour over the weekend.

Aside from the first day when heavy rain threatened to wash our tents away the weather was indeed splendid, here are some of our highlights:

- Yeasayer: Amazing set, closed with ambling alp. One of the most unique bands floating around.
- Foals – Mad dash from yeasayer ment me and Ed missed half the set, but the mix-up was jumping mad by the time we got there.
- Eddie’s caravan: think Dr. Parnassus but more puppets and sausages.
- Broken Social Scene: What can I say, new stuff was brilliant, Kevin Drew’s final quote before busting into the final burst of Meet me in the basement “I know you’ve got an election coming up…make sure your country sounds like this…..”. If only it could!
- Mei Goreng noodles….mmmm
- Midlake (especially the drummer’s insanely amazing builds/breaks in every time permutation under the sun!!)
- The baby with the earmuffs….starting em out early cant hurt right??
- The general lack of dickheads, maybe they went south for the winter….
- The Pixies stand and deliver ‘cause our songs are so damn good we don’t have try too much’ style.
- Florence and the Machine…..what - a - voice!!!!
- John Steel Singers and Jonathen Boulet – great aussie bands representing in style, two killer sets that had people talking….
- people loosing their thongs in the mud.

Despite the missed flights home (due to one hell of a delay) it was all worth it, very inspiring, till next time!
