When Giants Walked the Earth

The title is misleading! I've just finished reading the Led Zeppelin biography from Mick Wall, hence the title. Some shit went down back then! Good read, I really recommend it. But I also recommend skipping through the bits in italics sometimes..Then again, what do I know!

Last week we had the pleasure of playing an intimate little set inside Albert Studios to celebrate our publishing deal with the world famous label. It's truly an honour! We had a great night drinking & laughing away & showcased some album tracks that has us all pumped up - before we'd even signed off Maree at Albert who is taking care of us got both 'Orange X' + 'Young Cubs' on rotation at Triple J, so our many thanks go out to her. It feels good to have a dedicated bunch of people (who genuinly love our music) behind us. Feels like home.

Also, we got a little off course with the drinking & decided we'd use the photo booth without realising it was a completely non-fictional teleportation device Alberts have. nb-looks like an old conan o'brien skit

Speaking of the Young Cubs & Past Lives tour, the poster is in the post below + in the middle of this tour (the 26th March to be exact) we're releasing our tracks 'Young Cubs' & 'Armour' on itunes Australia. They are up on the myspace now for your listening pleasure, & both are from the album 'By Limbo Lake' due out in May - OFFICIAL DATE COMING SOON.

Last but not least, Musicoz has announced us in their Top 5 for the alternate song category. The winners are announced on March 26th as well at an award ceremony held in Sydney. For tickets to the event go here. If you're lucky enough you might be able to get your mug on the TV as the awards are on MTV two weeks post-awards.

Here's a band that are quite an odd mix of people that i've been listening to -> Singer of Mew, Bassist of Coldplay, Guitarist of A-Ha and producer extraordinaire.. They are called Apparatjik & I've posted their song 'Snow Crystals'. If you love Mew like I do, then consider it very much worth your attention.

Below that is a Kings of Leon shred.. you've all seen the 'shreds' from st sanders surely? If not, go here! He basically dubs what you see on screen & makes them look hilariously awful, all the while being extremely talented himself to make it look so good.. this Kings of Leon shred is killer, especially as it was the show they were frustrated with the 'icy' crowd. However, I do love KOL's stuff (albums 1-3) so in the very far off chance they see me re-posting it, I apologise & please feel free to beat my brother Trent up as payback.

Enjoy...kg
